Our students want to share their experience as Bridge's students.
I'm Paola Guerra, originally from the village of Finca El Cisne. I had the opportunity and great privilege of being a student at Bridges.
I currently live in Copan Ruinas, work at a travel agency, and I'm a Business Administration undergraduate student.
In 2018 and 2019, I received a scholarship, for which I am still grateful to Susana Castejón and the incredible Bridges team. Their dedication and solidarity towards each student make a difference in the lives of everyone they help.
They were a tremendous support for me, my dreams and my life journey.
My name is Hector Videz, currently a law student and former BRIDGES student.
BRIDGES was literally a bridge for me to achieve my dreams.
In the past, education in my village was difficult to access and very few were privileged to access this fundamental right. Today, many young people benefit from the BRIDGES. In communities where no one had ever attended school, changes are now noticeable and there is a higher level of education. I speak on behalf of everyone when I say I am immensely grateful to BRIDGES for promoting and supporting education.
BRIDGES has now become a benchmark for quality education, recognized for promoting Christian values, environmental care, and above all, for inspiring and helping many young people who years ago would not have considered education as a way to overcome challenges.
As an alumnus, I remember with great nostalgia all the good moments. The values instilled in me and the education I received will always be a part of me.
To conclude, I reiterate my great admiration and respect for all the work the foundation does.
May God bless you and allow you to help many more young people.
My name is Ashlyn Monroy, and I am from the village of Nueva Armenia, Copan.
I am very proud to be part of the senior students at BRIDGES School in Agua Caliente.
For me, BRIDGES is important because it has served as a bridge for myself and many others, allowing us to reach dreams we have held for a long time. In my village, it would have been difficult for me to achieve this, but thanks to God and Bridges that created this high school, we have been able to celebrate each of our accomplishments.
For many of us, it has been challenging, but we've been able to achieve life goals. Many have found it very difficult, but now they see a significant difference in the education of the communities around Agua Caliente, thanks to BRIDGES.
Thank you to each of the teachers who have also contributed by sharing their wisdom with us; it has been very valuable. I speak for myself and for everyone who has been educated through BRIDGES, for all those who have achieved one of the goals they had in their minds for months or years, but one day were able to feel happy and fortunate to have accomplished it. I encourage everyone who wants to continue because there is still time to achieve our dreams—there is no expiration date for pursuing our desires.
BRIDGES is a well-known school thanks to the education it provides to each of us, and the positive results are evident when each student graduates; that is very beautiful. Thank you Bridges for supporting our education.
Abisai is a 21-year-old young man who has fought hard to pursue his education. Despite not having any formal training, he is incredibly talented in drawing and painting. His natural artistic abilities are truly remarkable.
Today, Abisai wants to express his gratitude to Bridges for the opportunity to study at school. He is now in the final stretch, completing his professional internship. It’s inspiring to see young people like Abisai who overcome distance, financial challenges, and various barriers to achieve their dreams. Congratulations, Abisai, on your achievements!
